Job Description
Accounts Payable/Payroll Clerk FPS Brea, CA 92821 Job Summary Under moderate supervision applies standard procedures and working knowledge in providing clerical support in paying the corporate obligations. Performs routine accounting duties, following appropriate procedures to ensure timely and accurate preparation of transactions. Processes invoices for payment by verifying transaction information, making computations, verifying extensions, and taking appropriate discounts when applicable. Primary Responsibilities 1. Monitor and process overhead invoices for all offices, ensuring timely and accurate payments and maintaining detailed records. 2. Submit credit card receipts for approval and accurately code the receipts based on the description provided by the credit card user. 3. Investigate and resolve accounts payable discrepancies; research vendor invoice issues and ensure timely resolution. Escalate complex issues to Manager as needed. 4. Processes employee expense reports in compliance with company policies. 5. Track and post City Business License Renewal invoices, ensuring timely payments and proper documentation. 6. Save all ACH payment records in the Sage Paperless system, including necessary backup documentation for future reference and audit purposes. 7. Independently processes weekly payroll through timekeeping system. 8. Ensure timekeeping data is accurately entered, properly approved, and processed in a timely manner. 9. Responsible for new hires, obtaining employment and benefit enrollment forms and maintaining personnel files 10. Responds as necessary to requests for information or additional projects as defined by management. 11. Adheres to company policies and procedures. 12. Maintains the confidentiality of all information processed. Performs related duties as assigned. Regular and consistent attendance is required..

Required:
High School Diploma or a General Educational Development Diploma (GED). Minimum of five (5) years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping Basic knowledge of accounts payable processes. Familiarity with standard accounting terms, forms, and records. Demonstrated ability to work accurately with numbers and maintain detailed records Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work independently Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others Must be able to work well with people and maintain a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism.Preferred:
Associate or Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field Five (5) years of direct experience in accounts payable and payroll. Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel and Access. Exposure to Sage, or similar windows-based accounting software.Job Type:
