Provide first response service for all building/utilities trades equipment and systems (i.e. emergency calls and service calls); provide assessment of situation; provide repairs or contact appropriate personnel if situation mandates licensed repairs. Perform preventative maintenance service for all building trades. Access information utilizing appropriate computer software programs. Promote a work place that encourages safety within the shop and in the field. Operate University vehicle. Reports to a Utilities Trades Supervisor/Zone Manager and actively engages in learning and practicing principles of social justice and inclusion, environmental sustainability and delivering great customer experience. Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience): High school diploma and three years of experience in trades required. Demonstrated ability to make independent judgments in assessing and planning work. Experience using computers and mobile technology required. Valid driver's license or ability to obtain and drivers check required. Lifting to 54 lbs. occasionally. Specific physical requirements may apply based on job functions. Must wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when performing specific job functions. Initial employment contingent upon successful completion of background check.Anticipated Pay Range:
$23 to $28/hourOther Information:
