Job Description

Police Officer Bolton Police Department 15 Wattaquadock Hill Road, Bolton, MA 01740 The Town of Bolton is currently accepting applications for Full-time Police Officer positions. Applicants must have graduated with certification from a Massachusetts (MPTC) Municipal Police Training Committee approved full-time police academy, or completed the MPTC Bridge Academy program, or have received a waiver for equivalent training, and are currently Massachusetts POST certified. Applicants must have a valid driver's License, and have an active Massachusetts License to Carry (LTC-A). Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED. An Associate's Degree or equivalent college credits is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communications skills are essential. Chosen candidates will be subject to an extensive background investigation, medical evaluation, and psychological assessment. Starting patrol officer hourly rate is $28.56/hr - $31.77/hr, (Steps 1-3, per current union contract) depending on experience. Top step is $35.16/hr. Candidates that have completed the MPTC Bridge Academy program and are looking to join a municipal department, or those with prior full-time police experience are encouraged to apply.
