QA / QC inspector 3.4 3.4 out of 5 stars Irwin, PA 15642 TOPS Staffing has partnered with a local manufacturing company to find an experienced Quality Inspector. This position will mainly be responsible for performing dimensional inspection work on metal parts in our machine shop. This inspection work will be performed using various measurement tools, such as calipers, gauges, and a Faro Arm. Looking for a high attention to detail and ability not only to perform physical inspection of parts but also ability to fill out quality paper work or documentation.

5am to 3:30pm

Schedule:

Monday to Thursday work schedule. OT may be required on

Fridays Pay:

Up to $23 per hour based on experience level.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Approves incoming materials, in-process production and final product by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable material. Perform detailed inspections to tight tolerances in a machine shop environment as part of the quality control team. Demonstrated ability to operate various precision measuring tools, i.e. micrometers, calipers, veneers, profilometer, gauges, PMI, Faro-Arm, etc. in a machine shop environment Complete required reports and quality documents Function as part of a quality team and interface with other department members Must be able to work with minimal supervision

Education and Experience:

High School graduate or equivalent with a minimum of two (2) years machine shop, quality control, or related experience (i.e. trade school, apprentice school training, etc.) Capable of reading and interpreting mechanical machining and assembly drawings Experience using a Faro arm or similar piece of inspection equipment. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret bills of materials, parts lists and material specifications Ability to review, analyze and disposition non-conforming material Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel; ERP based systems experience would be a plus High level of written, organizational, interpersonal and problem solving skills Physical requirements: Ability to lift 40 pounds using proper lifting equipment and perform duties while standing for extended periods of time We need help
