PMO Power BI Developer 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars Atlanta, GA 30308 • Hybrid work Power BI Developer - PMO Reporting & Insights Hybrid Position in Atlanta, GA (most remote with occasional onsite) W2 Contract We are seeking a results-driven Power BI Developer to join our Project Management Office (PMO). This role is critical in delivering executive-level reporting solutions that enable data-driven decision-making. The primary focus is on developing scalable, high-impact Power BI dashboards and data models to bridge current reporting gaps and support enterprise project portfolio visibility. This individual will work across two key areas to drive a unified reporting strategy, with minimal support responsibilities (approximately 10%). The remaining 90% of your time will be dedicated to building out robust Power BI solutions and data architecture. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and executive reports that visualize key metrics and performance indicators aligned with PMO strategic objectives. Build and optimize data models and data structures to support scalable and efficient reporting solutions. Collaborate with PMO leadership and stakeholders to gather and translate reporting requirements into actionable Power BI solutions. Connect, clean, and transform data from multiple sources, including Clarity PPM, to ensure data consistency and accuracy in reports. Create and manage DAX calculations, Power Query transformations, and row-level security where necessary. Monitor data pipeline integrity and proactively address issues that affect report performance and accuracy. Partner with technical teams and business stakeholders to align data visualization efforts with broader project goals. Provide occasional Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for Clarity PPM reporting-related issues (limited scope). Maintain documentation of report specifications, data definitions, and dashboards to ensure long-term sustainability and knowledge sharing. Stay current with BI and reporting trends to bring forward process improvements and new capabilities. Required Skills & Qualifications 4+ years of experience in Power BI development, including DAX, Power Query, Power BI Desktop, and Power BI Service. Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and performance tuning. Experience in data modeling and designing data hierarchies for executive reporting. Strong understanding of Clarity PPM data structures, with the ability to work around current system limitations. Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and collaborate across cross-functional teams. Excellent communication and storytelling skills to convey insights to business and technical audiences. Preferred Experience Hands-on experience with Clarity PPM configuration, workflows, and reporting. Exposure to Power Automate for workflow automation and report scheduling. Familiarity with project management methodologies and PMI-aligned best practices. Skilled in using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, SharePoint, Teams, etc.). Demonstrated experience working with incomplete or inconsistent datasets and implementing strategies to clean and structure the data for reporting purposes. The hourly pay rate range for this position is $55-65/hr (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
