Information specific to this position:
Identify and suggest ideas and obtain estimates for possible HVAC retrofitsfor space use changes. Provide a safe and comfortable environment forteachers, students, staff and community. Assist apprentice level HVACstaff in repair of all HVAC equipment.
Pay Range:
$29.73- 33.30 (min
- 12% above min)/hr

SUMMARY:
Program, inspect, troubleshoot, maintain and repair hearing,ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) equipment and control systems.Identify and suggest ideas and obtain estimates for possible HVAC retrofitsfor space use changes. Provide a safe and comfortable environment forteachers, students, staff and community. Assist apprentice level HVACstaff in repair of all HVAC equipment.
JOB TASKS
1. Analyze, troubleshoot, install, repair, rebuild, adjust andreplace mechanical equipment such as bearings, motors, heat exchanges,boilers, ventilating and air conditioning compressors, water and pneumaticvalues, humidity control units, coolers, freezers, cooling towers andexhaust h2. Perform preventative maintenance on all HVAC related equipment. Inspect andverify the operation and safety of all hearing boilers, roof top units,air handling units and ventilation systems.3. Inspect control systems, maintain appropriate operating schedules andadjust as needed to maximize comfort and energy savings.4. Maintain records of service calls, preventative maintenance history andequipment/parts inventory utilizing the District's computerizedmaintenance management system.5. Assist HVAC Apprentice with troubleshooting and repair of equipment.6. Maintain updated drawings and other documents relating to District HVACcontrol systems.7. Maintain backup database files for direct digital controls.8. Implement and monitor alarming capabilities for District HVAC controlsystems.9. Attend work and arrive in a timely manner.10. Respond as essential personnel in case of an emergency, weather orenvironmental event, and/or school/facility/district closure.11. Perform other duties as assignedEXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, & LICENSES REQUIRED
High school diploma, completion of G.E.D., or equivalent vocationalschool or short term courses in HVAC equipment installation, repair andmaintenance resulting in journeyman level experience More than three yearsand up to and including five years of experience in commercial HVAC equipmentinstallation, repair and maintenance Criminal background check requiredfor hire Must meet District driver insurability requirementsOther Job Posting Details
