InterVision Company is seeking a Principal Amazon Connect Architect, responsible for architecting, designing, and implementing highly complex cloud architectures including hybrid cloud environments, working as part of a mid-sized, geographically distributed Cloud Services team. The Principal Connect Architect manages multiple assignments designing and implementing a broad array of AWS services, works with clients to determine their needs, understands their as-is environment, and recommends target AWS architectures while referencing the underlying rationale for architecture decisions that are based on industry standards (e.g. Well Architected Framework). Lead teams of engineers in the build out of complex hybrid cloud environments and lead large migrations and bring forward ideas on how to use the latest AWS services to optimize environments and reduce technical debt. Extensive experience as Cloud Solutions Architect with AWS IaaS and PaaS (AWS EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, Route53, DirectConnect, VPN, CloudFront, etc.) Experience with AWS managed services Amazon Kinesis, AWS Lambda, Amazon Simple Queue Service (Amazon SQS), Amazon Simple Notification Service (Amazon SNS), and Amazon Simple Workflow Service (Amazon SWF). Knowledge with Web Services, API Gateways and application integration development and design Experience with Linux and Windows Knowledge of agile software development practices and release management. Excellent written and oral communication skills; Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff. Must be a self-starter who requires minimal supervision.
