At Anchor Transportation, our drivers are the face of our company—trusted professionals who deliver outstanding service and unmatched safety every day. The RTA Motorcoach Driver operates a 56-passenger motorcoach on a designated route, ensuring a smooth, safe, and courteous travel experience for all passengers. This role is critical to fulfilling Anchor's commitment to excellence, reliability, and hospitality on the road.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver Exceptional Service:
Greet and interact with passengers with professionalism, courtesy, and a commitment to creating a welcoming travel environment.
Drive Safely:
Operate motorcoaches in compliance with Anchor's safety standards, FMCSA regulations, and all state and federal laws.
Passenger Assistance:
Assist with safe boarding and exiting procedures, providing additional help to passengers with mobility needs.
Comfort Management:
Adjust climate control and on-board entertainment systems to enhance passenger comfort throughout the journey.
Timely Communication:
Report delays, accidents, or safety issues promptly and in accordance with company protocol.
Vehicle Inspections:
Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip inspections, documenting and reporting any maintenance needs or mechanical issues immediately.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate and timely records, including electronic Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs), hours-of-service logs, and route manifests.
Route Compliance:
Follow scheduled pick-up and drop-off locations with a focus on safety, punctuality, and customer satisfaction.
Ongoing Training:
Complete required safety training sessions and participate in company-led safety meetings.
Required Qualifications:
At least 25 years of age. High school diploma or
GED. U.S.
citizen or holder of a valid permanent visa with work authorization in all U.S. states. Valid Class B or higher CDL with Passenger (P) endorsement and no air brake restriction. Clean pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical. Must have a clean driving record (MVR): No more than 2 moving violations in the past 12 months. No more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years. No more than 1 minor accident in the past 3 years. No major violations such as reckless driving, DUI/DWI, or license suspensions in the past 5 years. Must successfully complete a company-administered road test demonstrating safe driving behaviors.
Physical Demands:
Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Capable of driving for extended periods, including at least 3 consecutive hours without a break. Physically fit to meet all job demands, including mobility and endurance required for safe vehicle operation and passenger assistance. Why Drive with Anchor?
