welding Basic math High school diploma or GED MIG welding Welding 1 year Associate's degree Entry level Full Job Description PTMW, Inc. is a metal manufacturing company that specializes in metal enclosures for railroad, data, and power industries. We are looking for steel and aluminum welders with prior experience in welding structural steel, sheet steel, and aluminum to work in our production facility. SUMMARY We have immediate openings for highly-skilled welders. In this position, you will work on in-house projects as well as possible travel to client locations to perform job duties on site. Your daily responsibilities will include reviewing specifications and drawings, laying out metal components, cutting, fabricating, and welding those pieces together. We expect our welders to complete each job within specific deadlines to ensure we meet our customers needs. Our ideal candidate has at least one year of welding experience and a working knowledge of standard welding tools and techniques.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Interpret drawings and weld standards to understand project scope and specifications. Interpret and follow proper welding procedures and welding symbols on drawings. Use calibrated measuring tools (measuring tapes, squares, etc.) to properly fit up assemblies. Utilize industry tools and equipment. Hand, pneumatic, electric, and battery powered tools. Plasma cutters, oxyacetylene torches, and carbon air arc. Weld parts in various positions, processes (GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW), and materials (Steel, Aluminum, and Stainless Steel). Maintain equipment; repair when needed.

REQUIREMENTS AND QULIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalent. 1 + years of welding experience required. Working knowledge of industry tools and equipment. Ability to read and interpret blue prints and welding symbols. Proficient in basic math and able to read tape measures. Experience in various welding processes (GMAW, FCAW, GTAW). Able to pass visual and bend tests in various processes and positions on various materials. Able to lift up to 75lbs. Work on ladders/scaffolding.
