We manufacture, install, and resurface artificial turfs & synthetic surfaces while completing the design from start to finish. Hellas, Inc. - Sports Lighting Division is looking for a skilled Boom Truck Operator to join our team and increase our national presence with extensive traveling. Key Responsibilities •
Operate Boom Truck:
Safety operate truck to lift, move, and position heavy materials such as steel, concrete, equipment, and other construction materials. • Perform inspections: Conduct daily inspections of the Boom Truck crane and its components (e.g., hydraulic systems, hoists, and rigging) to ensure the equipment is in good working condition. •
Safety Compliance:
Follow all safety guidelines and regulations, including OSHA standards, to prevent accidents and injuries on the job site. • Coordinate with
Ground Crew:
Communicate with Ground personnel and riggers to execute precise lifts and ensure proper material placement. •
Read Blueprints and Plans:
Review and interpret work orders, blueprints, and load charts to determine the appropriate settings for crane operations. •
Load Management:
Calculate the weight and balance of loads to ensure that they fall within the crane's lifting capacity. •
Maintain Equipment:
Perform routine maintenance on the boom truck, including lubricating parts, checking fluid levels, and reporting any equipment issues. •
Record Keeping:
Keep accurate records of crane operations, inspections, and maintenance activities. • Adhere to
Time Schedules:
Operate efficiently to meet project timelines and schedules. Qualifications •
Experience:
Proven experience as a crane operator, preferably with boom truck cranes. •
Certification:
Valid crane operator certification (NCCCO certification). •
Licensing:
A valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements. •
Physical Ability:
Good physical condition, with the ability to lift heavy loads and work in various weather conditions. •
Communication Skills:
