Yard Jockey/Driver Exclusive Transportation for Industry 2202 26th Street SW, Allentown, PA 18103 Job Summary Exclusive Transportation for Industry, Inc. is seeking to fill a full-time dedicate Yard Jockey to join our team. The Yard Jockey is primarily responsible for the organization and movement of trailers at our warehouse and offsite parking yard. This incldues coordinating and managing the storage and flow of trailers, ensuring safe operation of equipment, and enforcing all safety protocols. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in operating heavy machinery or commercial vehicles. This is a key role and will require an individual who is willing to cross train and grow within the company. Duties Moving trailers/commercial vehicles to and from loading docks and offsite parking Ensuring the correct positioning of trailers at loading and unloading docks Performing routine checks and minor maintenance Keeping accurate records of trailer locations within the yard Communicating with dispatchers, drivers, and warehouse personnel to ensure efficient load and unload process Performing visual inspections of trailers for potential damage or issues Adhering to safety procedures while operating equipment Assisting with loading and unloading as necessary Assist with snow removal Qualifications Proven work experience as a Yard Jockey or similar role Experience operating heavy machinery or commercial vehicles Valid CDL A and clean driving record High school diploma or equivalent Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Understanding of safety procedures and guidelines Requires outdoor work in all types of weather conditions Frequent lifting, bending, and climbing in and out of vehicles If you are a motivated individual with a passion for logistics and transportation, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity as a Yard Jockey.
