MUST BE LOCAL TO LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY.
This is a full-time hybrid position working primarily from your home office, but some on-site work will be required at various client sites in and around Louisville for deployment and support, including regularly scheduled on-site work. The IT Support Specialist provides high-quality professional support to our clients, including executive-level customers. This includes the deployment, support, and troubleshooting of hardware (desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile devices), operating systems, and software applications supported by our company. This position exemplifies outstanding customer service skills when urgently responding to customer problems received via our ticketing system, phone and email. Position Description (Essential Duties & Responsibilities): Performs troubleshooting of supported desktop/laptop/tablet/mobile operating systems and applications Works independently with a sense of urgency and exceptional customer service skills Provides technical assistance to other members of the team where necessary Maintains daily written updates on ticket status, open issues and projects Performs desktop/laptop/tablet/mobile device deployments including hardware, software and peripheral configuration and support Assists in accurate tracking of all assets supported by our company Interacts with vendors to facilitate repairs of hardware, i.e. printers, laptops and desktops Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment Ability to also work independently with minimal supervision and guidance Documents system problems and resolution for future reference Maintains confidentiality of company and client information Must have reliable vehicle for transportation to and from client sites Must be thorough and have good attention to detail Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
Minimum 3 years hands-on support experience with technologies including Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, etc. Experience should include basic Active Directory user management, Office 365, and basic to intermediate-level networking and server capabilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, professional appearance, punctuality and a sense of urgency. Must be detail oriented, a team player and have the ability work on multiple projects, prioritize and meet deadlines.
