Essential FunctionsExercises consistent positive collaboration and accountability byworking as a valuable member of the Idaho Falls Powerand Fiber team to safely accomplish the goals and required tasks of theutility.
Perform installation, troubleshooting, testing, maintenance, repair, andcalibration of substation control equipment such astransformers, high voltage circuit breakers, load tap changers, DCcontrol circuitry and battery systems and other relatedequipment.
Performs installation, troubleshooting, testing, maintenance, repair,and calibration of a wide variety of electrical equipmentand instrumentation associated with power generation systems/equipmentsuch as generators, excitation systems, motorsand controllers, circuit breakers, power turbines, DC control circuitryand battery systems and other related equipment.
Utilize lock out and tag out system to ensure quality/safety ofoperations and completion of projects. Follow all safetypolicies and procedures during performance of all work.
Performs testing, programming and repair of protective relaying andcontrol devices associated with electrical generationand substation control systems.
Performs installation, operation, maintenance, testing, and repair oftraffic signal systems, associated electrical equipment,and control systems.
Monitors work activities and creates documents to maintain records ofmaintenance and repair work performed as requiredby Idaho Falls Power policies and procedures; monitors project materialusage and makes recommendations forreplacement purchases for inventory management.
Perform installation, programming, operation and maintenance on SCADAsystem and related communication systemsUtilize technical electrical test equipment for analysis, testing, andcalibration of various equipment such as transformers,load tap changers, generators and excitation systems etc.
Performs programming, troubleshooting, repair, and testing of PLCcontrols for governor, gate, annunciation, SCADA, andanalog/digital input/output transducers that are utilized by thesedifferent control systems; assist with installment ofsupervisory equipment and performs final adjustments to ensure smoothoperation.
Follow utility industry best practices, all safety procedures and otherrelated utility policies.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications1\.
Education and Experience:
A. Graduation from high school; plus, Completion of (4) four years inthe Idaho electrical apprentice program withcurrent Journeyman electrician status;ANDB. Four (4) years of experience in the operation, maintenance and repairof substation control systems andequipment.;ORC. Four (4) years of exp rience in the operation, maintenance and repairof power generation systems andequipment.ORD. An equivalent combination of education and experience.1\.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
