BridgeportSkills Position Overview:

We"re hiring an experienced Bridgeport Operator with strong skills in both milling and turning. This role supports shop operations through fixture fabrication and short-run production. Candidates must be able to independently set up and operate Bridgeport mills and manual lathes, and be comfortable working with mid-size parts ranging from 10" to 60" in diameter.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate manual Bridgeport mills and manual lathes
• Build custom fixtures and tooling to support CNC operations
• Run short production batches to meet shop needs
• Maintain accuracy, quality, and consistency across builds
• Work independently with minimal supervision

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of manual machining experience
• Proficient in both manual milling and turning
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Able to interpret drawings and work independently
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-minded

Preferred Qualifications:

• Technical machining certifications or formal training
• Experience with aerospace parts or tight-tolerance work : We"re looking for hands-on machinists who can think critically and work independently.
