Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) 2.0 2.0 out of 5 stars Tracy, CA 95304 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Rergistered Dental Assistant(RDA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and sterile environment. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials. Maintain infection control protocols in accordance with established guidelines. Take and develop dental X-rays while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Record patient medical history, vital signs, and other relevant information accurately. Manage patient records using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care. Schedule appointments and manage the flow of patients in the office. Ensure that the dental operatory is clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies. Assist in administrative tasks such as medical coding and billing when needed. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assistant program preferred. Knowledge of infection control procedures and HIPAA regulations. Familiarity with dental software systems such as Dentrix or Epic is a plus. Ability to take X-rays and knowledge of anatomy related to dentistry. Experience with pediatric dentistry or prosthodontics is desirable but not mandatory. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
