Application Engineer III (Multiple Openings) in Southfield , Michigan Responsible for design and application engineering of automotive electronic components from concept to series production. Create specifications, analyze market trends, and apply appropriate Design for Manufacturing. Negotiate project and related engineering changes with customers and DENSO plants. Interface with and expand relationships to OEM customers and other DENSO departments. Review, check, and approve test plans and reports. Benchmark competitor products and analyze market data. Create project schedules and specifications based on the customer's requirements. Create Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) and 8D Methodology. Support integration of electronic unit into system/vehicle, using CAN/LIN communication. Effectively communicates with cross-functional groups while fully supporting Sales and Quality. Act to expand relationships with both internal and external customers, as well as be a technical resource for less experienced engineers.
