Overview:

Our Insurance team is looking for an Operations and Administration Support Specialist who will be responsible for performing a broad variety of administrative functions critical to the daily/monthly workflow in the Insurance Services department. Maintains and ensures that insurance records, reports, files, and operational procedures, are maintained.

What You Will Do:

Maintain Insurance license endorsements to meet insurance industry compliance standards. Generate and submit premium remittances for all loan protection products. Ensure all insurance documentation is scanned and uploaded to On-Base designated folders for records retention. Process GAP, MBP and Debt Cancellation Agreements, cancellations, refunds and premiums with 100% accuracy. Assumes responsibility for providing support to the Insurance Services and Property & Casualty departments. Provide guidance, training and support to all branch and credit union staff as it relates to Protection Products. Accurately balance all mid-month and month-end protection product sales and applicable premiums have been received. Monitor, descript and transfer insurance income revenue to assigned general ledgers within approval authority. Ensures proper training materials have been ordered and distributed to each event. Ensure all product enrollments are completed accurately and within deadlines. Identify missed sales opportunities and up-sell protection products to members. Process monthly invoices, business expenses, sales incentives and commission letters prior to month-end for Managements review/approval. Complete all travel arrangements or monthly business meeting requirements as instructed. Monitor monthly expenditures and ensure approved expense budgets are being monitored. Support Disaster Recovery Vendor Maintenance and testing, as required. Backup Alternate Safety Area Leader. Assumes responsibility for ensuring the professional business relationships are established and maintained with outside business contacts and external insurance professionals. Ensure timely follow-up and proper loan claim payments are processed upon receipt of payments and posted from claims GL to members' accounts according to department guidelines. Schedules and Assists with Insurance Services New Hire and Protection Products Training.

A minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of similar or related experience A high school education or GED Current Life and Accident/Health Insurance License preferred Excellent communication skills, good organizational and follow-through skills, good analytical skills. Knowledge of insurance terminology and procedures Knowledge of insurance services products with an understanding of regulations governing the insurance industry Proficient use of MS Office - Word, Excel, Outlook, Symitar, ArcOS, Prologue, SWBC Unity, Hawksoft, Claims and Admin.
