Dealership:
L0105 Lithia Home Office Software Engineering Manager The Software Engineering Manager is responsible for leading a cross-discipline team of engineers to deliver high quality software. Software Engineering Managers focus on removing obstacles for their direct reports, debugging process issues on their teams, and focusing on the growth of our engineers.
Compensation:
$120,000-155,000 plus yearly bonus objectives
Primary Duties:
Act in the capacity of a Hiring Manager for open team roles Conduct regular 1:1s with direct reports with a focus on removing obstacles, providing career development coaching, and and constructive feedback Find ways to recognize good work in both public and private settings Champion the velocity and well being of the team, advocating for iterative improvement of team process Coordinate with team members in Engineering Leadership to help develop the organization's holistic approach to software development and engineer growth Design end-to-end UX and UI solutions for Lithia's product suite from business requirements Help establish design process within a cross-functional sprint team Collaborate with Product, Technology, and Design leads to drive business outcomes Champion design decisions within the team and to other internal stakeholders Work with other Designers and UX Content Strategist to create a best-in class automotive retail experience
Qualifications:
Skills Expertise in HTTP, web application architecture, scalability, performance optimization, reliability, deployment, monitoring, security A portfolio with visual and interactive work. Education High School Diploma or equivalent required 4-year degree or work experience in a related field preferred Experience Experience working in our core family of technologies Javascript (React), Typescript, Kotlin, Java, Springboot, Docker, Azure3+ years managing software engineers in Agile teams 5+ years experience shipping and supporting high-scale, high-performance web applications in a cloud environment. Experience with container-driven development environments 5+ years experience designing solutions for web and/or mobile applications. Experience with qualitative and quantitative research (user testing and A/B). Experience with Figma, Usertesting.com, and/or other design tools. Experience in service design or offline/retail design is a plus.
