JOB SUMMARY
The Operations Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the efficient daily operations of the business by managing maintenance tasks, supporting project management, and ensuring compliance. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, the ability to multitask effectively, and a commitment to maintaining high operational standards.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Prioritize, assign, and monitor service requests via Sightplan. Coordinate daily work schedules for maintenance personnel in partnership with the Maintenance Supervisor. Schedule pre-move-out and final move-out inspections with residents. Create purchase orders for vendor-related services and schedule vendors for unit turnovers based on inspection details. Input and monitor unit turnover vendor and maintenance work orders in Sightplan. Follow up on CMS projects, including preventative maintenance, with the property team and CMS Manager to ensure timely and thorough completion. Communicate with residents to confirm work completion, gather feedback, and recommend improvements based on survey responses. Assist the Maintenance Supervisor in purchasing supplies, equipment, and services while monitoring budget variances and escalating concerns to the General Community Manager as needed.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred). Proven organizational and time management skills. Strong ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and property management software. Valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
WHAT THE JOB REQUIRES
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to effectively communicate with residents and team members. Attention to detail in creating purchase orders and managing schedules. A proactive approach to identifying and resolving maintenance and compliance issues. The ability to collaborate effectively with the maintenance team and vendors while juggling multiple tasks and deadlines.

New hires generally start between $23.08 - $28.37 per hour. The final salary offer will be determined after reviewing relevant factors, including but not limited to skill sets; relevant experience; internal equity; and other business and organizational needs. This role is also eligible to participate in Essex's discretionary Annual Bonus program that is commensurate with the level of the position.
