This is an Onsite position in Livermore (Alameda County) . The Accounting and Payroll Administrator aids in ensuring that team goals, roles, protocols, and business relationships are consistent with high-performance requirements and in line with the company's strategy. The ideal candidate will lead by example in an environment that fosters trust and candor, will maintain personal accountability, and communicate assertively and constructively with the client group and team members. Will also support the V.P. of Finance in the overall administration of payroll processes and related financial functions, while also exercising discretion and independent judgment in executing tasks that impact the company's payroll systems and compliance. This position plays a key role in maintaining the accuracy, efficiency, and integrity of accounting and payroll operations while ensuring legal and regulatory compliance across the department activities. Responsibilities Under general guidance, the Accounting and Payroll Administrator supports the Project Team by performing job setups, and by entering, validating, tracking, and reviewing financial information related to: Accounts Receivable Accounts Payable Weekly Payroll Processing Human Resource assistance with new employees hires, benefits and termination Coordinate with other departments Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and confidentiality in handling sensitive data. Working knowledge of financial tools, general accounting principles, and ability to operate on accounting software Sage Expert proficiency in ADP Workforce Now (PEO Program) Solid computer skills and proficiency in MS Office applications
- Fluency in English and proficiency in Spanish is required, both written and verbal.
- Strong mathematical aptitude and ability to interpret data/ statistical information Broad problem-solving skills Collaborate with HR, Finance, Sales and Purchasing teams to ensure seamless data flow and accurate data entry.
Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness. Communicates, interacts, and works effectively with others; receptive to feedback and coaching; voices concerns in a constructive manner Minimum Educational Background
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- 5+ years of accounting and/or business experience, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll
- College courses in accounting or related field may be counted towards business experience requirement.
