Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of this position consist of, but are not limited to, the following:- Partner with product managers and senior software engineers to translate requirements into detailed designs
- Partner with data scientists and data analysts to drive performance improvements for our applications
- Proactively troubleshoot applications and identify performance and availability issues providing effective options for resolution
- Tune performance and resolve availability issues of product or service and its dependencies
- Increase code quality through writing unit, integration, and acceptance tests
- Collaborate with other software engineers and teams on code reviews, development infrastructure, and process enhancements
- Grow, push the boundaries and learn new things to apply to our team's work
- Write clean, maintainable Python and JS (React) code
- Apply LLMs and Generative AI tooling
- Participate in
AGILE/SCRUM
process- Work directly on a product suite that drives significant revenue and cost-savings to the company bottom line
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience collaborating in a team environment shipping software
- Proficient creating applications and features in object-oriented and functional programming environments
- Working experience with database objects in relational databases (ex. MS SQL, Oracle, Postgres) and non-relational databases (ex. MongoDB)
- Proficient with GIT for version control
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience and a high school diploma/
GED Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure developing containerized applications (Docker)
- Exposure to statistics and machine learning concepts
- Experience with automation and/or human computer-interaction (HCI) principles & design
- Experience with LLMs and Generative AI tooling
- Experience with monitoring tools (ex.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
