Develop new product ideasRe-energize a well-established productAssess product-concept fit or packaging effectivenessUnderstand the product, brand and category competitive landscapesPresent objective results to managementJob DescriptionThe Technician is responsible for performing basic to moderately complexP&PD lab, kitchen, and/or pilot plant activities and routine analysesand procedures under a supervisor's direction.

They will assist in allactivities ongoing in these areas as required by the supervisor or projectleadDemonstrates and promotes the company vision.

Regular attendance and punctualityApplies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate.

Maintain a clean, sanitary, safe and well-organized working environment inthe pilot plant.

Assist in execution of project conducted in the pilot plant under supervisordirection.

Assists Process Development staff with receipt of products and ingredients,storage of samples, accurately weighing ingredients and products,preparing products and samples for testing and evaluation in both the lab andpilot plant.

Assists with labeling, packaging, and shipping of products.

Follow appropriate SOPs, SMs, and Protocols.

Maintain pilot plant equipment and documentation as required by GLP and GMPprograms.

Maintain an inventory of equipment parts, laboratory supplies, andcleaning supplies.

Perform all duties with accuracy for quality results.

Work as a team with all product and process development staff to accomplishposition and business objectives.

Identify and communicate equipment and facility improvement options/issuesto supervisor.

Other tasks as assigned which may include grocery shopping, cleaningrefrigerators and/or product and equipment storage areas.

Other tasks as assigned.

Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner.

Performs other duties as assigned.

QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to performeach essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representativeof the knowledge, skill or ability required.
Educational Background/Relevant Experience:
High School Graduate or GED requiredOne or more years of college or technical training preferred; or acombination of experience and education indicating an ability to perform theessential functions of the position
Additional Preferred Preferences:
Basic mechanical repair and use of cleaning equipmenFood, Nutraceutical or Pharmaceutical Pilot Plant or Manufacturingexperience a plus.

The Ability to show:

Maintain a safe and orderly work environmentMaintain, record, and review SOPsMaintain proper communication skills while being able to work independentlyExercise initiative and good judgment, and solve routine problems withoutthe need for consistentassistanceSafely operate propane and electrical forklift trucks, climb ladders,frequently lift, carry and/or push light to heavy materials; able tostand and walk most of the dayFlexibility to easily transition from one task to anotherAdditional InformationA compensational range for this role would be:$25.00- 27.00 an hour
Other Factors:
Maintain a safe and orderly work environment, maintain, recor , andreview SOPs, maintain proper communication skills, work independently,exercise initiative and good judgment, and solve routine problems withoutassistance. Safely operate propane and electrical forklift trucks, climbladders, frequently lift, carry and/or push light to heavy materials. aswell as stand and walk most of the day. Flexibility to easily transition fromoOvertime and weekend work as plants required
