DESCRIPTION AND DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
The Records Specialist is a member of a team that processes criminal record check requests of one or more clients. The Records Specialist will perform a variety of different tasks daily that will require interaction with several internal and client systems. Accuracy, attention to detail, and speed are a must for the Record Specialist. The ideal candidate would be available mid-to-late June 2025 to begin training, and then available seasonally to work Full-Time during our peak season from mid-August through late November. Our work-from-home positions offer flexibility and the opportunity to return year-to-year, making it perfect for those who enjoy seasonal work and want to build a lasting relationship with us. Candidates available during this season on a more Part-Time basis may also be considered. Core hours are Monday-Friday, 7 am- 4 pm. However, we are flexible on scheduling needs so long as you are generally available during core hours.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Enter 'clear' results into client systems Enter 'hit' results into client systems Upload new client orders to WebTrax, updated with any instructions necessary for researchers to correctly perform the search Update client systems with ETA's and reasons for delay where required QA results for accuracy and consistency Phone calls to courts and researchers Run searches against court supported web sites
QUALIFICATIONS
Previous records maintenance experience or equivalent education preferred Able to pay attention to details Able to complete tasks in a timely manner while maintaining a high level of accuracy Be able to multitask Be able to use computer applications effectively Able to utilize training guides and other written documentation Have basic troubleshooting skills and the ability to identify "red flags" Efficiently communicate both verbally and in written form Have interpersonal skills Be able to work within teams Be cordial and professional Be innovative Have good judgment and decision-making skills Willing to submit drug test & background check
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
Frequent speaking, listening, sitting, use of hands/fingers across keyboard or mouse, handling other objects, long periods working at a computer with adequate breaks.
