Job Description

HR Generalist 2.5 2.5 out of 5 stars Indianapolis, IN 46202 • Hybrid work Job Description Assists employees with benefit enrollment or changes, dependent verification, and benefit concerns. Responsible for administration of all leave of absences processes, including FMLA, State Sick Leave, Disability and Personal Leaves. Oversees the ADA administrative processes, including the interactive process, new/re-certifications, and notifications to employees, medical providers, and management. Processes payments and adjustments for short-term disability, paid time off, and benefit deductions. Assists with HRIS processes including benefits, performance management, compensation, and other employee data. Answers general HR questions, referring to more complex issues to senior staff. Serves as the subject matter expert and primary troubleshooter for benefit related questions or issues. Assists managers with Employee Relations claims and issues as they present in partnership with the HR Manager, as needed. Coach and mentor managers as they have Employee Relations Issues that are presented. Provides support to HR staff as needed for projects, programs, meetings, and general clerical duties, as needed. Serves as a backup for other HR Team members when staff is unavailable or out of the office. Minimum Requirements Requires a Bachelor's Degree in HR Management or related field. 1-3 years' experience in a Human Resources. Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations affecting employee benefit programs and leave of absence policies. Demonstrated experience using Microsoft office products, particularly Excel. Previous experience with benefits administration, employee relations, and LOA processing preferred Previous experience working for a multi-state employer with State Sick Leave Laws preferred Workday experience preferred Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience.
