The Desktop Support will support and maintain in-house desktop computing infrastructure and peripherals. This includes actively resolving end user help requests installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware and equipment while ensuring optimal workstation performance. The person will also provide end user training and assistance when needed.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Provides support for computer systems and peripherals; performs post-resolution follow-ups to help requests. Coordinates and provides training and support to, end users and staff on computer operation and other issues. Assists in installing, configuring, testing, maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting end user workstation hardware, peripheral devices, and application software. Performs on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution for end users, and recommends and implements corrective hardware solutions, including off-site repair as needed. Receives and responds to incoming calls and/or e-mails regarding hardware problems; creates and updates tickets per IT/helpdesk specifications; document issues and provides suggestion to avoid issue from re-occurring. Documents and maintains an accurate inventory of all computer systems, peripherals, software, and licenses. Prioritizes issues per IT SLA and schedules time with users to work on their issues; escalates tickets (when required). Installs operating systems and software updates per vendors suggestion and industry best practice. Teaches and supports staff on Microsoft operating system and other applications. Performs other job duties as required by manager/supervisor.QUALIFICATIONS
Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent is a plus. Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office Application Suites. Experience in supporting healthcare applications is a plus. Experience with IT operations is a plus.LANGUAGE
Must be able to read, write and speak English. Ability to speak and/or understand Chinese (Cantonese or Mandarin) is an asset.STATUS:
