The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. As a Dental Assistant, you will assist the dentist during procedures, manage patient records, and maintain a clean and organized environment. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control practices, and excellent communication skills. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are prepared in advance. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist. Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and other relevant information accurately in medical documentation. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Manage infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the office. Maintain accurate medical records and assist with administrative tasks as needed. Support various dental specialties including Prosthodontics, Pediatrics, Endodontics, and General Dentistry. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited dental assistant program is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with dental procedures. Understanding of infection control protocols and ability to maintain a sterile environment. Experience with medical documentation and managing medical records is advantageous. Ability to take vital signs accurately. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members. Previous experience in a dental practice is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
