Your Role:
At MilliporeSigma, the Chemical PackagingOperator 1 - 2nd shift will manually and semi-automatically portionchemicals into containers using safety equipment and followingprotocols.
Job duties include:
\
  • Starting pay rate is \$22.82/hour plusa 7% shift differential for a total pay of \$24.42/hour on 2nd Shift \
  • 2nd
Shift:
Monday - Friday, 2:00pm - 10:30pm \
  • Verify hood and safetyequipment function, obtain process order, scan into computer system,verify electronic balance is calibrated. \
  • Verify match of processorder and bulk container lot numbers. \
  • Obtain correct type andquantity of containers for process order. \
  • Operate powered pallet anddrum movers. \
  • Verify weighed bottles and determine if quantity matchesprocess order requirements. \
  • Pull samples for customers and/or qualitycontrol. \
  • Complete paperwork including tray tags, process orders, andcomputer PKRV scan. \
  • Document process order for specific requireddata, inclusive of weighing accountability to assure the accuracy of theweighed material using Good Documentation Practices (GDP). \
  • Fill outdata for tray tags and affix to each tray or case of filled bottles. \
  • Complete production logs. \
  • Maintain equipment, tools, and facilitiesin safe, clean environment. \
  • Assemble, disassemble semiautomaticpowder or liquid dispensing equipment, and replace worn or disposableparts as necessary. \
  • Clean semi-automatic dispensing equipmentaccording to manufacturer recommendations and chemical safety protocols.\
  • Clean tools and utensils with appropriate material in hood accordingto chemical safety protocols. \
  • Clean hood/workstation according tomethod and protocol for specific chemical weighed. \
  • Assemble, test,maintain, and use appropriate safety equipment. \
  • Clean and maintainreusable safety equipment for next use. \
  • Facilitate packagingoperations by providing support for weighers and moving material withinthe department. \
  • Procures bulk and package components for weighers. \
  • Maintain, clean, and safe work areas and equipment following 5Sstandards. \
  • Take necessary steps to assure we provide our customerswith the highest quality product possible. \
  • Immediately report anysituation that could compromise safety or quality
Physical Attributes:

  • Work near moving mechanical parts. \
  • Wear Personal ProtectiveEquipment, \"PPE\", including but not limited to hard hats,glasses/goggles, chemical resistant suits, gloves, safety shoes \
  • Workin wet, humid, or abnormally hot or cold environments. \
  • Lift, push,and or pull up to 50lbs
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:

    HighSchool Diploma or GED Preferred Qualifications:

    • Ability to readinstructions and understand oral and written instructions. \
    • 6 + monthsof experience weighing hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals usingprecision equipment into specific containers \
    • Experience safetyequipment and semi-automated equipment \
