South Charles Street, 5th Floor, Baltimore, Maryland 21201 Main Purpose of Job This position is to support/assist the Payroll Supervisor and the Leave Management Officer in maintaining the SPS Workday System and applications essential for processing time entries and payroll related actions. This position will be supporting timekeeping services provided to the Division of Family & Medical Leave (FAMLI).POSITION DUTIES
Duties of this position include, but are not limited to: Supports and maintains SPS Workday System specific timekeeping and processes in accordance withCOMAR, DBM
Guidelines and departmental policies and procedures Assist with phone, email and in person inquiries regarding timekeeping and payroll issues at the direction of the Payroll Supervisor and the Leave Management Officer Corrects and submits timesheets in the SPS Workday System per the approved Timesheet Adjustment Forms Runs SPMS Workday Reports for Regular and Contractual employees (No Time Submitted, Unsubmitted Time and Unapproved Timesheet reports)MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.Experience:
Three years of experience reviewing, verifying, recording, adjusting and balancing financial transactions.Notes:
1. Experience calculating and recording financial, statistical or other numerical data may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required high school education. 2. Six credit hours in accounting from an accredited college or university may be substituted for one year of the required experience. 3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience in Financial Clerical/Finance Technicians classifications or specialty codes in the financial field of work at a rate of one year of military experience for the required experience.DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
