This role is critical in ensuring the integrity and reliability of all electrical, instrumentation, and control systems within oil and gas operations. The IE Technician plays a key part in responsible and efficient oil and gas development.Summary:
The Instrumentation and Electrical (IE) Technician will provide troubleshooting and support for instrumentation, electrical components, and communications within the oil and gas sector. The successful candidate will work closely with members of the facilities engineering team, vendors, contractors, and operations field staff, ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory standards.Job Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Safely install, configure, test, calibrate, operate, troubleshoot, maintain, and inspect instrumentation and control system equipment. Repair and troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, and control equipment. Inspect and test operation of instruments and systems using pneumatic, electrical, and electronic testing devices. Install process control instrumentation such as transmitters, controllers, analyzers, and control valves. Perform mechanical work associated with instrument repair and modification, including small piping and tubing. Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance. Work with contractors and install, examine, replace, or repair AC/DC Motors and Drives, PLCs, HMIs, 480V power, 120V control circuits, transformers, motors, starters, relays, and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical controls. Install and repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components. Fabricate, install, and run conduit, 3-phase work, motor terminations, control and instrumentation troubleshooting, and panel work. Read, interpret, and provide feedback on PIDs, PFDs, ICE drawings, schematics, control narratives, and cause-and-effect matrices. Utilize principles of operation for all meters and instruments used in applicable IE work. Perform preventive maintenance inspections and calibrate measurement devices. Comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.Core Competencies:

Valid drivers license with a good driving record. Strong computer skills with excellent written and verbal communication. Proficient in troubleshooting electrical and instrumentation systems. Capable of lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs. Knowledge of NEC related codes. Familiarity with Allen Bradley PLCs, ABB Total Flows, and HMIs. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and flexibility to work outside of standard business hours when needed. Education and Experience (Preferred): Associate Degree/Trade Certificate in Instrumentation, Electronics, or Electrical Technology. 3+ years of IE experience.Other Requirements:
Must be able to pass a pre-employment background screening. Must be able to pass a pre-employment and ongoing drug test. Ability to legally work in the US without sponsorship.Compensation:
Hourly rate: $31.00 - $50.00 (based on experience and qualifications).Benefits Perks:

Visual acuity to operate motor vehicles and view computer terminals. Ability to walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 50 lbs.Position Type Working Hours:
Full-time position; typical hours Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Overtime as required. Availability to respond to emails, calls, or texts outside of business hours.Travel:
