PRIMARY FUNCTION
Responsible for assisting the radiology department's overall workflow under the guidance of the Radiology Manager, PACS Administrator, and Epic Administrator.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • ESSENTIAL
FUNCTIONS
) 1. Assist Providers and staff with PACS and Epic applications.
  • 2. Assist PACS Administrator with support and maintenance of Rad PACS.
  • 3. Quality Assurance of outstanding exams in PACS, including reallocations and troubleshooting as needed.
  • 4. Assist Epic Radiant Analysts with workflow changes and implementations.
  • 5. Work on special projects as assigned by Manager, PACS Administrator, Epic Administrator.
  • 6. Assist Manager and staff with tele-radiology system workflow needs, troubleshooting and quality assurance needs.
  • 7. Assist with Mammography tracking and film library duties as needed.
  • 8. Film Library support - CD burning, PowerShare transfers, Outside image management 9. Participate as an active member in a patient-centered medical home. 10. Employees will not be discourteous or disrespectful to a customer or any member of the public while in the course and scope of company business.
  • 11. Work in a cooperative manner with management/supervision, coworkers, customers and vendors.
  • 12. Abide by company policies.
  • 13. Attend work regularly as scheduled.
  • Position will spend the below estimated amount of time on respective functions:

Salem Radiology/Film Library:

EQUIPMENT USED
Office equipment such as computer, copier, fax machine etc... Software programs such as PACS, Epic, PowerShare, RadiANT, Microsoft Office
REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or equivalent
PREFERENCES
Systems level experience in Epic or PACS Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve Strong modality operation background along with workflow knowledge and assessment abilities Excellent attention to detail and applications training skills Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people Basic knowledge of Radiology terminology and exams performed in Radiology Values team success Compassionate, patient and tactful Shows an interest in taking action to increase his/her knowledge and development as an employee Contributes to an environment where people feel valued Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients and staff Keyboarding skills Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Organizational skills and ability to prioritize workflow Oral communication skills and excellent phone etiquette with an ability to convey and receive information via the telephone Competency in language, grammar, and spelling Capability of effectively working on more than one task without a reduction in the quality of work and Service performed Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations and to work under pressure Ability to accept responsibility and use initiative to proceed with necessary tasks without direct supervision
