ABOUT
THE ROLE
The Welder's daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to reviewing specifications, laying out metal components, cutting, fabricating, and welding those pieces together to create custom fabrications. Welders and fabricators are expected to complete each job within specific deadlines. Company Overview Since 1912, Sturgeon Electric Company, Inc., a subsidiary of MYR Group, Inc, has provided comprehensive electrical construction services to clients throughout the western U.S. Sturgeon Electric has two divisions, offering both power line construction and commercial/industrial electrical construction, making it a full-service electrical provider. Sturgeon Electric's Commercial and Industrial (C&I) electrical construction division specializes in large-scale commercial electrical projects, telecommunications, traffic signalization, gas distribution, high voltage distribution service and maintenance to clients. Sturgeon Electric has experience performing projects under Integrated Lean Project Delivery methods, and also offers pre-construction services, in-house pre-fabrication capabilities, and Building Information Modeling (BIM) capabilities. Essential Functions Interpret drawings and plans to understand project scope and specifications Produce templates and other work aids Provide material take-off and rough drawings when needed Utilize industry tools and equipment, including powered saws, hydraulic press brake, shears, portable grinders, and hand files Use precision measuring tools to inspect grooves and angles Weld parts out of mild steel, galvanized metal, stainless steel, and sheet metal, in flat, vertical, and/or overhead positions Maintain proper equipment; repair when needed Regular and predictable attendance Essential functions of this position are to be performed in a Company-designated office or field location Understand and comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other industry-specific professional and ethical conduct standards Other duties as assignedABOUT YOU
Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Certifications in MIG, Hardwire, Flux-Core or Stick- preferred by not mandatory Minimum 3 years of professional welding experience

Compensation & Benefits Salary $57,000- 75,000 / year Commensurate with experience, paid weekly. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate. Comprehensive benefits package
