The Benefit Practice is a national retirement plan consulting and actuarial firm. We specialize in providing customized retirement solutions to our clients that best fit their current situation and future goals. The Benefit Practice currently has an opening, in its Stamford, CT office , to join our Internal Accounting Team. This is a position where the right candidate can learn and grow within the organization and contribute to its success! As a Bookkeeper, you will have responsibilities in both the accounts receivable and accounts payable areas.
Job responsibilities include:
Review and payment of vendor invoices and employee expenses Verification of check and ACH payments with bank Accounting for payments received from outside financial partners Drafting and transmittal of customer invoices in QuickBooks Collections Assisting the Office Manager with human resource related tasks, including insurance forms and tax forms The successful candidate will have: Strong organizational and communication skills Excellent data entry skills Strong mathematical background Flexibility, adaptability, and ability to multi-task Excellent accuracy and attention to detail Strong experience with QuickBooks (preferably online version), including invoicing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Minimum education requirement: High School Graduate or Associates Degree.
