About the role We are seeking a Manager of AI Software Engineering to lead the development of innovative AI solutions that are transforming healthcare. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive impactful projects that enhance patient care while guiding a team of talented engineers in a collaborative and dynamic environment. As a Manager of AI Software Engineering, you will lead a team in designing, developing, and deploying cutting-edge AI models and secure, cloud-native applications. Leveraging technologies like Python, Java, Node.js, and React, you'll oversee the delivery of high-quality AI-driven solutions that address real-world challenges. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders, provide mentorship to engineers, and play a critical role in shaping the technical direction of AI projects. What you'll do (Essential Responsibilities)

• Partner with the Principal AI Engineer to design, develop, and deploy advanced AI solutions, including optimizing Large Language Models (LLMs), Natural Language Processing (NLP) algorithms, and other state-of-the-art tools.
• Play a hands-on role in solving complex technical challenges, including debugging and optimizing AI systems when needed.
• Evaluate and implement emerging AI technologies and frameworks to solve complex healthcare challenges and deliver high-impact solutions.
• Ensure AI projects align with the organization's strategic vision and technical roadmap.
• Manage the end-to-end technical delivery of AI projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
• Actively contribute to critical areas of development or debugging, stepping in when challenges arise to ensure project success.
• Oversee project planning, resource allocation, and risk management to drive successful outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, maintaining the security and integrity of AI systems.
• Monitor the progress of AI initiatives, providing updates to leadership and resolving technical or operational roadblocks.
• Mentor and coach team members, fostering technical growth, innovation, and collaboration within the AI engineering team.
• Build and maintain a high-performing team, identifying skill gaps and recommending hiring strategies to address them.
