The Lead Solar Installer will be responsible for the completion of residential solar PV systems in the five boroughs, Long Island, Westchester, and New Jersey. In this position, the Lead Solar Installer will oversee and work with crew members to install roof-mounted systems Our team is seeking an experienced solar installer to join our team full-time .

Responsibilities Site Management:

Read and understand plan, elevation, and electrical line diagrams, applying all specifications to each jobsite Maintain all necessary hand tools, Installer-owned safety equipment (such as work boots), and company-owned equipment, including safety equipment Treat clients, general contractors, other trades, co-workers, and members of the public with kindness and respect Comply with all company policies, including company safety policy and OSHA Arrive punctually at the beginning of each work day Maintain a valid OSHA and 40-hour SST Card Oversee the construction of solar PV arrays and battery ESS systems Move materials (must be able to safely lift 50lbs) Install roof-mounted solar systems, including mechanically attached and ballasted racking Trenching, concrete work, and equipment assembly Install attachments such as machine bolts, masonry anchors, wood screws, and any other hardware called for by project specifications Sealing all roof penetrations Bend and install electrical conduits Install electrical enclosures, BOS, and grounding that adheres to DOB regulations Maintain a clean jobsite, and a clean warehouse Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions and operational issues Removal or replacement of system components for maintenance

Reporting:

• Ensure that all crew members properly document all work hours
• Provide daily status updates to project managers, including on-site issues, customer concerns, and estimated time to completion
• Upload daily installation photos to database
• Alert project managers of any product deficiencies or shortages Knowledge & Skills Previous solar installation experience, 2-5 years Prior experience leading teams of 1 year Electrical and/or roofing experience Strong attention to detail Ability to transport materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks (up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds with assistance) Valid driver's license and clean driving record Experience & Education High school or equivalent (Required)
