This defined retirement benefit requires a 12.27% monthly contribution rate and includes a 100% employer match on Day 1 Learn more at Work With Us | Maricopa County, AZ We Require High School Diploma or GED Three years of experience operating trucks and equipment Valid Arizona Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with no restrictions and a tanker endorsement Other endorsements may be required for some job assignments We Also Value Experience transporting heavy equipment or truck hauling Job Contributions Schedule and transport heavy-duty equipment or out-of-service equipment and vehicles in accordance with all local, state, and federal requirements Operate a variety of medium to large-sized construction and maintenance equipment/vehicles, including boot trucks for fog sealing, dump trucks, water trucks, and transport trailers in accordance with all safety regulations and procedures. Coordinate daily repairs on all vehicles and equipment, including coordinating with MCDOT staff, Equipment Services Department staff, and outside vendors to schedule, diagnose, monitor, and approve repairs. Pre-check, train, clean, and perform simple maintenance work on vehicles and equipment Upfit light-duty and heavy-duty vehicles with safety equipment, tools, GPS, and other necessary items depending on the work group and task assigned Complete required daily logs and Cartegraph data entry for work performed each day Respond to emergencies in the interest of public safety and property protection Ensure all required permits and transport equipment are in compliance with all local, state, and federal requirements Update all databases with required information, including Samsara, AARG, Cartegraph, Faster, and MCDOT Equipment List and Equipment Locations with vehicle assignments and information Other job duties as assigned Working Conditions Exerting 50
