Job Summary Paragon Bank's SBA Capital Group has an opportunity for a full-time SBA Loan Operations Specialist. This position coordinates and executes post-closing activities for SBA and USDA loans by performing quality control activities, completing transactions, and ensuring complete, accurate and compliant loan documentation is delivered for booking and loan file creation. Primary Responsibilities Adhere to SBA Standard Operating Procedures requirements and applies organizational policies and procedures in all activities. Validates proper execution of loan documents before processing the initial loan funding. Perform due diligence on loans and administer post-closing booking. Review all documents for accuracy and sufficiency, according to bank policy and regulatory requirements when processing loan disbursements. Identifies discrepancies and issues, facilitates resolution, and takes corrective actions. Track and follow-up for timely receipt of outstanding executed loan packages from the closing attorney and/or closing department. Prepare all necessary payments to third party vendors on each loan transaction. Establish and boos ticklers for all trailing documents, exceptions, and ongoing tickler documents (i.e., UCCs, insurance, flood, etc.) to the tracking system. Ensure trailing documents are received (i.e., Final Title Policy, Title Opinions, Recorded Deeds/Mortgages, UCCs, etc.). Thoroughly review closed loan packages to ensure proper execution of documentation. Organize scanned loan file and executes storage procedures for supporting documents. Post loan payments, and forward new ACH transfer set ups to appropriate department Process general ledger entries Process Loan Disbursements, ensuring the accuracy of the check and/or wire instrument. Process wire transfers, as outlined by the Bank's procedures. Responsible for ongoing monitoring and maintenance of documentation exception reports. Process checks through the RDC Machine and make appropriate entries as needed. Provide a high-level of customer service/support to internal and external customers. Required Experience 3 years of experience in the role of Loan Operations or similar role working with government guaranteed loan products, structures and/or documentation or equivalent combination of education and experience in banking industry. 3 years of experience/knowledge of SBA requirements as imposed by the SOP 3 years of experience using relevant banking and document storage software applications preferred. 3 years of experience using Microsoft Office Products 3 years of experience reading, analyzing and interpreting SBA and USDA Loan Documents. Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies Strong verbal, written communication, organizational, and time management skills Able to plan, develop and organize professional schedules to achieve goals within or ahead of established time frames. Able to provide a high level of interactive service to others, building relationships and addressing identified needs. Able to analyze and record detailed information and produce accurate, high quality work products. Able to research, analyze, identify viable options, draw sound conclusions, and present findings. Able to manage or organize a high volume of documents and data Able to perform calculations and transactions proficiently and accurately Required Education High School diploma or GED Preferred Education College Degree preferred but not required
