Job Description
Quality Technician Oshkosh Coil Spring, Inc. 3575 North Main Street, Oshkosh, WI 54901 OCS is currently taking applications for 3rd Shift QC. The Quality Inspector position requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in quality assurance and quality control. The ideal candidate will have experience with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, as well as a solid foundation in analysis skills and math. Additionally, familiarity with QA/QC processes and procedures is essential. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting quality audits, performing quality inspections, and ensuring compliance with quality standards. The Quality Inspector will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality of products through meticulous inspections and adherence to quality management systems. 3-5 years of QA/QC experience in a manufacturing environment is required for this role. Metal knowledge is a huge advantage.
Duties:
Conduct inspections of incoming materials, in-process, 1st piece, 2nd piece, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers Math Skills, decimals and fractions are required. Perform visual inspections to identify any defects or abnormalities in the products Document inspection results and maintain detailed records of quality control activities Conduct quality audits to assess adherence to quality systems and procedures Collaborate with production to address any quality issues and implement corrective actions Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical certifications or education in quality assurance is a plus Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Inspector or similar role in a manufacturing environment Proficient in using precision measuring instruments and conducting accurate measurements Familiarity with QA/QC (Quality Assurance/Quality Control) principles and practices Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify defects or abnormalities in products Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively Willing to train the right person 3-5 years of QA/QC experience in a manufacturing environment is required for this role.
