Shift CNC Lathe Operator Shift:
•2nd Shift M-Th- 2:30pm-12:30am•
Job Type:
Full-Time Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Operator to join our clients 2nd shift team. The ideal candidate will set up and operate computer numerical control (CNC) lathes to manufacture precision parts their customers . This position requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to quality and safety standards, and the ability to troubleshoot and optimize machining processes. •They have off-line programming, programming department, we do have some stuff that we have the machinist program at the machine but it's not required."
Essential Job Functions:
Input instructions including zero and reference points, setting tool registers, offsets, and compensation.
Calculate Measurements:
Utilize basic math, geometry, and trigonometry for accurate programming and part validation.
Lathe Setup & Adjustments:
I nstall and adjust chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, stops, and stock pushers as required.
Material Handling:
Load feed mechanisms by safely lifting stock into position. Verify machine settings by measuring positions, first-run parts, and sample workpieces . Perform dimensional inspections and adjust processes as needed. Monitor drilling, grooving, cutting, turning, facing, knurling, and threading operations. Operate multiple machines as required. Perform material inspections from waterjet, laser, saw, or weldments. Maintain a clean and organized workspace . Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent education/experience required. Certificate or Associate's Degree in Machine or Manufacturing Technology preferred. Minimum 1 year manufacturing experience Need to be self-sufficient as they will be alone on second shift Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Knowledge of tooling and tool maintenance.
Technical Skills:
Experience with Samsung SL35 (CNC lathe with live tooling) and Hurco TM8 (CNC lathe) preferred. Strong measurement and mathematical fraction/decimal conversion skills. Ability to distinguish between material types (Aluminum, Steel, Stainless Steel, Copper, Brass). Forklift operation experience preferred. Must be safety-conscious and detail-oriented . Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. unassisted , bend, stand, climb, and walk as required for the job.

$23.00 - $29.00 per hour
