Job Summary As a CNC Operator, you will be responsible for operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce high-quality millwork products such as custom cabinetry, doors, and architectural millwork. This position works closely with engineering and other manufacturing departments to ensure production of high-quality and cost-effective products.

Responsibilities:

Set up and operate CNC machines for milling, drilling, and cutting wood materials. Prepare and load raw materials onto the machines. Monitor machines during operation and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality of parts produced. Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, cut lists and CAD files to understand product specifications. Inspect parts produced using precision measuring instruments to ensure they meet specification. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment. Ensure work areas are well maintained, clean and organized. Must be a team player, able to work collaboratively with others and take direction. Qualifications/Experience High School diploma or GED equivalent. Minimum 2 years of experience as a CNC Operator. Experience in the woodworking and/or millwork industry is preferred. Experience using an edge bander, beam saw and/or other wood/metal working equipment is a plus. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Familiar with woodworking techniques, materials, measurement tools (E.g., tape measure, calipers, micrometers, etc.) and typical shop tools (E.g., drill, belt sander, saw, etc.) Ability to multi-task while working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Excellent attention to detail/accuracy, time management and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing environment. Able to navigate computer software (E.g. MS Office). Knowledge of ERP is a plus.
