Accounting Technician (Fairbanks) in Fairbanks , Alaska This is a full-time Accounting Tech position 8 hours a day, Monday thru Friday with a flexible start time (Between 7am-9am). Starting pay based on experience. Pay starting at $24-$37/HR depending on experience. Looking for a detail oriented and accurate Accounting Tech with the ability to multitask. Knowledge of automated payroll and accounts payable systems (ADP application software, Excel, and Microsoft Word) is highly desired.

Duties Include:

Process account-payable invoices and employee timecards. Maintain electronic filing systems for Accounts Payable (invoices, reports) and Payroll (Timecards, pay adjustments, reports). Preparation of bimonthly accounts payable check runs and biweekly payrolls for all employees. Biweekly payroll taxes, garnishments, and another payroll obligations. Payroll processing includes reviewing and checking payroll for accuracy. Posting adjustments and corrections as necessary. Reconciliation of payroll inputs (hours worked, paid time off, absences, bonuses, and adjustments to ensure payroll accuracy). Preparation and storage biweekly payroll reports Preparation and submission of biweekly payroll obligations (payroll taxes, garnishments, and other obligations). Preparation and balancing of annual W2 process.

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent Previous accounting experience or education equivalent required. Post secondary education preferred. Background will be reviewed.
