Job Title:
HVAC Mechanic Job Description The Industrial HVAC Technician ensures the proper operation and maintenance of all facility HVAC systems and equipment. The role involves taking corrective action, repairing equipment, and providing appropriate notification and documentation of all work performed. Daily activities include performing HVAC preventive maintenance, troubleshooting systems, and conducting mechanical and electrical repairs related to HVAC systems within a cGMP manufacturing facility. Responsibilities Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of all facility HVAC systems, high-capacity chillers, ultra-low refrigeration systems, cooling towers, and liquid pumping systems. Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair package units including large tonnage systems. Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair split systems including large split systems, built-up systems, and water source heat pump equipment. Maintain, program, troubleshoot, and repair commercial chiller cooling systems and chilled water pumps. Maintain, program, troubleshoot, and repair VFDs in various applications. Trace out and troubleshoot complex electrical systems. Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair specialized systems such as Daikin screw compressor systems. Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair cooling tower motors, fans, and pumps. Essential Skills HVAC experience in a manufacturing or commercial environment. Working knowledge of local, state, and other HVAC codes. Experience with building management systems (BMS). Ability to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair various HVAC systems and components. Experience with facilities maintenance, mechanical troubleshooting, and refrigeration systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent is required. Two years of technical or vocational training is preferred. Equivalent experience may be substituted for technical/vocational experience. Must have 10 years of previous HVAC work in a manufacturing or commercial environment. Experience with BMS (Building Management Systems) is preferred. Why Work Here?
