None General Summary:
A full-time exempt position leading a specialized managed care program coordinating cost-effective surgical care for patients. This is a hybrid position following the required waiting period.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
1. Provides overall leadership and operational support of the managed care program. 2. Responsible for rate negotiations with third-party administrators (TPAs) and contracted partners to ensure the program's financial viability. 3. Coordinates with third-party administrators, contracted partners, and participating physician offices to process and log incoming referrals. 4. Responsible for accurate and timely filing of all medical claims. 5. Detailed tracking of incoming payments. 6. Facilitates payment distribution. 7. Data dissemination. 8. Conducts outreach efforts to grow the program.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or Business preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of three years of administrative experience.
Other Requirements:
Proficiency with QuickBooks Qualifications Previous customer service experience. Previous healthcare experience. Previous experience with payer contracting and negotiations. Must have strong attention to detail. Good communication skills, verbal and written. Knowledge of medical practices, terminology, and reimbursement policies.
Equipment Operated:
Standard office equipment, including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.
Work Environment:
The position is in a well-lighted office environment. Local travel may be required.
Mental/Physical Requirements:
Involves sitting approximately 80 percent of the day, walking, or standing the remainder.
Salary:
