Compensation and Benefits:
The Hiring Salary Range for this position is $42,072.00 - $51182.00. Annually. The Full Hiring Range is $42,072.00 - $75,287.00 Annually depending on qualifications, with an excellent benefits package. Work Schedule:
40 hours a week, 10-hour shifts, rotating coverage every other weekend. Multiple shifts are available to facilitate 24/7 coverage. About This Role:
The Watch Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of our department. Your primary duties include managing and resolving reports, inquiries, complaints, and other requests, ensuring media inquiries are handled per departmental guidelines, and facilitating the accurate and timely flow of information from the Watch Operations Center to other departments and sections. You'll also enforce policies related to the Citizen Ride-Along Program and assist with call-out procedures for the department and supporting agencies. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and distributing departmental memorandums concerning births or deaths in members' families. Training will be provided, and you must obtain State Division of Criminal Information (DCI) certification within 180 days to remain in the position. The role involves working 10-hour shifts in close quarters with others, wearing a departmental uniform, and working during inclement weather. You will need to interact effectively with personnel at all levels of the department, other law enforcement agencies, city departments, and citizens. Work schedules are designed to meet the needs of those served, with potential adjustments to comply with the Fair Labor Standards Act and division objectives. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. At least one year of experience in a customer service or administrative role, preferably in a law enforcement or public safety environment. Experience with Microsoft Office Software (i.e. Word & Excel) Data entry experience Experience operating office equipment (i.e. computers, telephones, facsimile machines, cash registers, photocopiers)
Preferred Qualifications:
