Job Description

Quality Inspector/CMM Operator 3.0 3.0 out of 5 stars Clearwater, FL 33760 Quality Inspector/CMM Operator Duties and Responsibilities (primary job duties and responsibilities) Examine incoming, in-process materials and finished products to ensure they meet all established customer standards and specifications. Read and interpret inspection manuals, work orders, engineering drawings and specifications in order to determine product compliance. Ability to provide technical feedback to engineering pertaining to discrepancies and improvements. Accepts or rejects parts and documents the results in accordance with applicable processes and procedures. Must be skilled with basic measurement tools, such as Micrometer, Calipers, Height Gages and similar. The ability to operate automated measurement equipment such as a Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM) and/or Faro Arm is HIGHLY preferred. Ability and willingness to work overtime when required to support production demand. Proficient in using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience Completing First Article Inspections in AS9102 format is preferred. An understanding of Root Cause Analysis for internal and external non-conformances is preferred. Willingness to train other personnel as needed. Qualifications (minimum job requirements) High School diploma or GED U.S. Citizenship is Required Ability to read, write, and understand the English language Ability to provide professional/objective written and verbal communications to all levels of the organization. Ability to work in a fast paced, high-pressure environment. Ability to work as a team or individually based on workload. 1+ years of experience in manufacturing is required. Experience in sheet metal, welding and machining fabrication is preferred. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings/blueprints. Familiarity with GD&T (ANSI
Y14.5M-2009
) principles, fundamentals and rules is preferred. Knowledge of basic shop mathematics with the ability to learn geometric propositions, sheet metal flat pattern development is a plus. Ability to understand and utilize statistical sampling plans such as ANSI Z1.4 or similar. Knowledge of Quality Management Systems environments such as
ISO 9001, AS 9100
is preferred.
