Police Officers Town of Derry, NH 1 Municipal Dr, Derry, NH 03038 The Derry, NH Police Department has immediate openings for Police Officers. This is an exciting opportunity to serve a growing community in a busy, proactive Police Department! As of July 1, 2024, the annual base pay to start ranges from $60,153 to $83,054 ( based on a 40-hour work-week) . New Recruits start at $60,153 and current NH Certified Officers range from $62,254 to $83,054 , depending on years of experience. Work schedule is generally Sunday through Saturday, with a rotating 4 days on/2 days off. No experience, no problem! You'll receive regular base pay while you attend the Police Academy and participate in our extensive training program. In addition to competitive base pay and overtime opportunities, we offer an extensive benefits package which includes: Annual accrual of 5 weeks paid time-off, starting in your first year 10 paid holidays Low Cost Anthem Health Plans and Delta Dental Insurance. If you already have qualifying insurance, we'll pay you $2,500 annually to waive coverage. No cost Disability Insurance provides coverage for up to 26 weeks per incident Defined Benefit Pension Plan through NH Retirement System Employer Contributions to 457(b) Retirement Savings Plan Student Loan Reimbursement Tuition Reimbursement Shift Differential Specialty Units within the Department include: Accident Reconstruction Team E-Bike Patrol Community Relations Criminal/Juvenile/Narcotics Detectives K9 Unit School Resource Officers Southern NH Special Operations Unit (Regional SWAT Team) and more!
