Job Title:
Machinist Job Description The CNC Operator is responsible for the timely and accurate production of metallic machined parts per the specifications and requirements of the shop traveler. The CNC Operator is also responsible for error-free processing of each order and for completing the necessary paperwork and computer data entries associated with the CNC Production Process. Responsibilities Operate, maintain, clean, setup, load, and unload the CNC Router Effectively and efficiently carry out production process: receive order from Production Planner, allocate, pull, and load materials, run job, inspect products, clean, label, and stage finished parts, offload scrap or stock and return any materials as needed, process job through the system, and maintain an organized, clean work area Verify quality to ensure the product meets the customer's specifications Regularly clean and maintain equipment and machinery Program and troubleshoot CNC Router functions Understand and adhere to the company's objectives and mission Practice a willingness to learn production and distribution methodology Adhere to all safety rules, regulations, quality standards, and procedures Keep immediate work area clean and organized throughout the day Cross-train other team members as assigned Essential Skills High school diploma or equivalent Valid Driver's License Two or more years of machine operating experience Intermediate or higher CNC operation experience Good reading and math skills Good organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills Good written and oral communication skills Computer skills Ability to measure using different tools Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction Strong work ethic and self-motivated Operate with high integrity, maintaining positive relations with co-workers, customers, and suppliers Additional Skills & Qualifications Coursework in metalworking, blueprint reading, drafting, and math One or more years of CNC router operation experience Mastercam experience Experience with Fanuc and Haas Controls on 3 axis machines Experience with Blueprints, Hyundai, Haas, 3 axis, 4 Axis, Fanuc Controls, Mazak, Micrometers, Calipers, CNC Router, Mills Why Work Here? Work Environment The environment is a non-climate-controlled warehouse, although there are heaters in the winter and large fans circulating air in the summer. The dress code includes jeans, t-shirt, and steel-toed shoes. The company has around 35 employees and provides a 30-minute lunch break. Shift hours include a 2nd shift from 2pm-10:30pm and a 3rd shift from 10pm-6:30am. Fridays are overtime days, and employees must be open to this. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Wichita, Kansas. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $49920.00/yr. 401K, Benefits PTO, Vacation, Holiday, etc. Medical Vision Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Wichita,KS.
