This role offers competitive pay, guaranteed OT, great benefits package, working with a fun team! Must have a current Massachusetts's industrial wastewater treatment license Grade 5 or higher. Job Duties /
Responsibilities:
Day to day system monitoring and maintenance - various duties including filter press, filter changes, chemical fills etc. Care and maintenance of D.I. Water system. Clean and calibrate Orp and pH meters. Prepare hazardous waste and precious metal shipments (skid & weigh). Monitor and maintain supply of all chemicals used on a daily basis. Monitor and maintain clarifier and 2 sludge presses. Pull samples to help prepare monthly NBC report Daily and weekly hazardous waste inspection. Material handling, forklift operator. Maintain proper operation of Reverse OSMOSIS unit & DI polishing units. Maintain proper storage of hazardous waste. Lab assays of composite samples on Atomic Absorption Unit (AA) Must be available to participate in weekend call-ins. Drive continuous improvement efforts pertaining to Environmental, Health and Safety. Manage all WWT activity including scheduling of personnel and activities. Lead, oversee and appraise the performance of all direct reports (WT operators) including the identification of training needs, establishment of performance goals and improvement plans where applicable. Disposition time off requests for direct reports and ensure proper coverage for the department. Education /Skills /
Qualifications:
Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Must read, write and communicate in English as it relates to this position and safety. Must successfully complete 90-day probationary period. Must have a grade 5 industrial wastewater license. 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in Wastewater Treatment. Cooperative with ability to work individually or in a team environment. Effective listening and communication skills, both oral and written. Capable of prioritizing workload and multi-tasking when required. Organized with a high degree of attention to detail. Effective time management skills Self-starter with a desire for continuous improvement. Effective administrative & record keeping skills Intermediate computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word, & Excel. #INDT4
