You will have the opportunity to learn of Commercial HVAC and you will be critical in working on a variety of installations, repairs, and maintenance projects. • Basic Qualifications:

• + High School Diploma or equivalent required + 3+ years of practical working experience in the HVAC Industry + A valid driver's license is required + Ability to enter into the Union Apprentice Program or currently enrolled + Ability to push/pull/lift up to 50lbs

• Essential Task Description:

• + Inspect air-conditioning units to ensure efficient operation + Perform regularly scheduled maintenance on heating and cooling units + Diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunctions + Install, replace, or repair damaged equipment; calibrate thermostatic controls + Install new heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems; repair and replace damaged or worn heating, ventilation and air-conditioning parts and equipment; repair or replace low- and high-pressure liquid lines + Inspect and observe pressure of liquids and vapor with instrumentation to ensure efficient operation of unit and make necessary adjustment; inspect and service refrigeration equipment including refrigerators, ice machines, gas packs, and heat pumps + Maintain the chilled and hot water supply systems + Adjust and maintain internal electrical and electronic control systems; cleans coils, blowers, checks motors, and belt tensions + Assemble and install metal ductwork + Assist in planning and designing of new installations of heating and air-conditioning systems + Maintain maintenance records as required by City, State, and EPA regulations + Performs additional duties and responsibilities as required + Recognize and identify potential risks and hazards associated with performing all work-related duties safely + Work to mitigate potential risks associated with essential duties + Collaborate with management personnel to maintain safe working environments •

Knowledge of:

• + Principles and practices of Heating, Venting, Air Conditioning (HVAC) maintenance and repair; hazard and safety practices common to the trade + HVAC controls and safety devices; appropriate Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) / chemical usages; tools of the trade; materials and refrigerant recovery equipment and procedures used in installing, repairing and maintaining HVAC systems + Computerized electrical circuits and systems as they relate to air-conditioning, heating, ventilating, and refrigerated cooling + Sheet metal, electrical, plumbing and carpentry + Basic understanding of building automation controls •RSRCAR•\#Li-OnSite•

Pay Range:

• $33.17 - $55.77 per hour
