As we continue to grow, we are seeking a talented Web Developer & SEO Specialist to manage, optimize, and expand our WordPress website and online presence.

Position Overview:

The Web Developer & SEO Specialist will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our WordPress website, ensuring optimal performance, implementing SEO strategies, and supporting our digital marketing goals. The ideal candidate is a tech-savvy professional with strong WordPress experience, a deep understanding of on-page and off-page SEO, and a creative eye for user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage, maintain, and update the Cox Roofing WordPress website Design and implement new features and functionality to improve user experience Monitor website performance (speed, responsiveness, uptime) and troubleshoot issues Optimize website structure, content, and metadata for SEO best practices Conduct keyword research, on-page SEO optimization, and technical SEO audits Develop and implement backlink strategies and manage link-building efforts Collaborate with the marketing team to align SEO strategies with campaigns Create landing pages optimized for lead generation Track and report on website traffic, rankings, and SEO performance using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEMrush/Ahrefs Stay updated with SEO trends, algorithm changes, and best practices

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a WordPress developer and SEO specialist Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP Familiarity with popular WordPress page builders (Elementor, WPBakery, etc.) Experience with SEO tools (SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Screaming Frog, etc.) Understanding of UX/UI principles and website accessibility standards Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred:

Experience working with roofing or home service businesses Basic graphic design skills (Photoshop, Canva, etc.) Knowledge of local SEO and Google My Business optimization
