We continue to grow within the nation and internationally, and are looking for a Machinery Electrical Technician to add to our team! What you'll be doing: Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using schematics, technical drawings Troubleshoot and repair Northtech woodworking machinery and other equipment Report repairs throughout shift by completing required work order paperwork, document parts and material usage Operate motorized equipment, including but not limited to scissor lifts, fork trucks, etc Operate fabricating equipment, i.e. saws, grinders, torches, drill presses, end-mill Assist with technical support in-house, over the phone, and onsite at customers location Electrical Safety, Preventive Maintenance. Programmable Logic Controllers (programming, safety). Circuit Analysis, Retrofit Control Panels. Draw Electrical Control Prints. Wireless communication. Lead design for electrical systems and mentor junior staff Possess and exhibit a level of mechanical aptitude. Determines the general condition of all electrical equipment, be able to troubleshoot electrical malfunctions, and determine the extent of necessary repairs. Work with and understand blueprints, electrical schematics, and job specifications as it applies to your craft. Perform electrical troubleshooting skills and repair of production machines (480 VAC 3 phase, 240 VAC 3 phase, VFD/motor/control circuits, solid state relays, PLC). Analyzes circuits, wiring diagrams, and drawings to install, repair, calibrate, and service or replace electrical and electronic devices. Services electrical and electronic equipment by checking, testing, and replacing faulty components on circuits, power packs, motors, transformers, switches, and the fabrication and installation of conduit. Support NT team members to help improve efficiencies, improve quality, reduce cost, and increase customer satisfaction Requirements High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) General Understanding of mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems on machinery General Mechanical and problem-solving ability 3 years of maintenance experience 5 years of electrical experience Experience Customer Service Experienced in Welding and Machining Training or previous experience with woodworking machinery Technical degree in Maintenance technology Lean Manufacturing and 5S background Interpreting electrical schematics for machinery Interpreting mechanical drawings and exploded parts breakdowns Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes
Activity Center Demands:
Ability to lift 75 lbs. on an occasion with proper lifting technique Proper PPE such as safety glasses and ear plugs Ability to climb, crawl, lift in varying environments. Moderately Dusty & Loud Summer Climate, gets up to 80 degrees in the warehouse Winter Climate, gets down to 50 degrees in the warehouse
